Does anyone else feel like I do with regard to book prices? Before the Kindle, if a new book was coming out that I just had to have, I’d buy it in hard cover for whatever the price. If I could take it or leave it, I’d wait until the paperback version was released.I treat books on the Kindle the same way. If a book that I really want comes out, I don’t care if it’s $9.99 or the same price as the printed hardcover edition. I just want the book. Also, people say that publishers should not charge full price for e-books because they are saving them money on paper and what have you. Well, I view my Kindle as the ultimate convenience item. I can have dozens of books with me in a small unit in my bag and read any one of them at any time.Very often when taking a train ride I’d be wavering back and forth about which book to take with me. Now, I don’t have to make that decision and I view that as a convenience that’s well worth the price of both the Kindle and the books.I’d have no problem paying the hard cover price for a Kindle book if it was something I had to have. From reading this board, it seems that my views are very unpopular though.
