This morning I’m doing a little happy dance of Kindle joy. Angle of Repose, by Wallace Stegner, is finally available on Kindle! I’ve been obsessively clicking, and now it is here, along with Crossing to Safety (actually been on for a while), The Spectator Bird (gave me hope, when another one was put up), and now All the Little Live Things and Angle of Repose.If you’ve never read any Stegner, he is an American author, sets most of his books in the west (he lived in Utah, Iowa, and California–taught fiction writing at Stanford). I love his characterization, his prose, and the way the landscape is vibrantly alive in his works. Angle of Repose is simply my favorite, and I’m thrilled to make my next re-read on Kindle!Now for more Ivan Doig…
