Be honest Kindle newspaper readers. Do you miss print news?

By far the biggest positive factor in the Kindle DX that has me looking hard at getting one is the prospect of getting the NY Times for $9.99 when I currently pay upwards of $50 for the print edition. For just that alone I could effectively pay off the Kindle with the gained savings in just over a year. But I have a strong hunch I would miss the print paper and that there would be something missing with Kindle news even if all the article content is there. Color photos are obviously one, but it goes beyond that. Or am I just indulging in shallow nostalgia for print news? I would be curious to hear feedback from others who got the kindle for newspaper reading and regularly read print editions before. And also, I read that Amazon along with newspapers were going to offer a discount on the Kindle if you committed to subscribing to a news outlet for a certain amount of time. Is that true? I forget now where I read it and I couldn’t find any details of that on Amazon. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
