I went camping this past weekend and took my kindle with me. Since I had a 2 year old and a 7 year old visiting, I did not have any quiet time to attempt to read until Saturday evening. When I opened my kindle cover up I saw a screen I was NOT familiar with. BATTERY CRITICAL!!! Huh? Oh ok….don’t panic,it needs to be charged. I got out of my make-shift bed, found a power cord (space and electrical outlets are limited) and plugged my kindle up. So now I wait. The screen reads that it may take a couple of minutes. I wait and I wait and I wait. Nothing. OH NO!!! What have I done? I let the battery totally die and now it won’t recharge!! I don’t have anything to read! I don’t have access to a computer to contact customer support! I will have to go somewhere and actually buy a book…a REAL book!!!! I have two days left to camp and NOTHING to read. After a couple minutes of panic….I look and see that the light is not even lit on the kindle! Then I start looking, cord in kindle…check…cord in powercord…check…powercord plugged in…check….powercord turned on…uh…well…no!! Turn on the powercord and guess what?? Yep…battery charging!! Whew….camping and kindle went great!!!
