Perhaps I am behind the news here, but I discovered that the fee for document conversion that was previously 15 cents (and wasn’t charged early on) has increased. The official language in the online support says "small fee". I sent a pdf for conversion – it was a book that I had gotten from the oprah site offered free for a few days – and was charged 30 cents. I’m not minding the fee, really, just wondering why I didn’t know about it, and when that happened. I did send the document to my free email account for conversion first, but didn’t get a response so decided to break the bank and spend the 15 cents… which turned out to be 30 cents. So, am I out of the loop (quite possible) or is this new? Why don’t they tell us these things… they could send us a document on the kindle when changes happen. I love my kindle, love Amazon, and anything less than a $1 won’t bug me too much, but…..
