Deleting / Protecting Content on Kindle

Has anyone found a good way to delete or protect content on their kindle? I have some books with inappropriate content on my kindle, and now I can’t leave it anywhere without worrying that someone is going to pick it up and read it. I deleted it from my kindle, only to find that the titles are still listed in the archived folder and can be re-downloaded with just the click of a button! Now I can’t let my youngest sister borrow my kindle, for fear of having her exposed to age inappropriate content. Has anyone found a way around this? I called Amazon but they have no way for users to permanently delete content from their kindle or from their account unless it’s been less than seven days – even if you don’t want a refund! I’d just like a way to password protect them or delete them from my kindle until I know I won’t be setting it down at work or loaning it to a relative. Thoughts?!
