First let me say, I love my K2. That said, there are two main things that I feel are sorely missing: backlight and color. Yes, there are number of small clip-on lamps that may be employed to provide a lighted reading experience, but a true backlit screen would eliminate the need for a bulky, external lamp and would provide a more convenient experience for reading in dark or dimly lit areas.The lack of color really detracts from what could be a very pleasing user experience. I read a lot of technical material and the use of color actually aids in making the information easier to grasp as it reduces the strain of reading page after page of monotone text. Diagrams and charts are easier to read and detail is more pronounced with the inclusion of color.There is no real technical impediment to the inclusion of these features. Albeit, the device may be slightly heavier and certainly costlier but I believe enough of the greater market may share my sentiment that these hurdles would not impede demand.I am curious how many others share these thoughts?
