DX + Dell XPS + 10000rpm + trouble?

I can’t copy any files to my DX via USB from my Dell XPS, using the latest iteration of Vista and a 10000rpm drive. Copying to my Kindle 2 is no problem. Copy to my DX with my Dell laptop is no problem.Anyone encountered this problem? So far no suggestions from Amazon. Although, Amazon did replace my DX; but the second DX encountered the same problem.Thankfully, the DX is fully functional otherwise.The DX is a great piece of equipment that truly enhances the quality of my life. I’m obviously not holding my breath for color; however, that will be the dawn of a new age.
