From APE Ink Corp the maker of the Kindle display, also Sony, has been sold for $215 million. The buyer is Prime View International, a Taiwanese company. According to Sriram Peruvemba, the E Ink’s vice president of marketing, this deal will help the combined company develop color verions of its displays and mass produce them by the end of 2010.
