One of the perks of the Sony eReader is that I could go onto the Sony eReader website and if I had a favorite author, I could click a link that allowed me to request e-mail updates from Sony when that author has a new book available from the website. Does the Kindle/Amazon have anything like that? Also, I love the "Suggested Reading" list in the storefront, but it doesn’t seem to change to eliminate the ones I’ve purchased. So if I purchase a book through that screen, the next time I go back and check the list, the purchased book is still there…even if I’ve written a review of it. Do I have my settings formatted incorrectly? How do I get the lists to remove anything I’ve already purhcased? I’m an avid reader, so at any given time, my "suggested reading" list is 50% books I’ve already purchased and read.Any suggestions on how I need to change my settings to accomodate this would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and I have a Gen 1 Kindle…is this kind of feature available on the Kindle 2? Did I miss a software upgrade or anything?
