True I did not own the Kindle 1, nevertheless, this is a great e-reader. Even without a folder system you can at least break down your content by type (book, newspaper) that I love. Plus the fact I can buy books without going my computer makes buying books so easy. I have had to stop my self a few times already, as I have promised myself I will not buy ebooks with credit.PLus the Kindle is thinner and liter then a hardback so it is much easier for me to carry around. It means I can carry my books around with me, without having to bring my big bag with me, I can put it in my perse.
