Has anyone looked inside their Kindle 2 System Folder? Inside, there is another folder called Search Indexes, and in that folder are many different index files. I deleted them several times, but after using the Kindle for a while and then connecting back to the PC, lo and behold they have multiplied again! I didn’t remove the index database file or the index log file, just the index files themselves…looks like temporary files of some sort. Does anyone know WHAT exactly these are for and can they safely be deleted? (I’ve been deleting them every few days when they get very numerous to save space, and I have no problems with my Kindle, so I figure it is fairly safe to remove them).
