It Does Sort Of Disappear
As some of you know, last night was my very first night with my Kindle 2. After I pried myself off the forums, I decided to snuggle in with the Stephen King book for the Kindle. Before I ordered, I wondered what it would be like to read on this thing, would it take away from the experience, what would those page turns be like because I saw some people complaining about them….I was a touch apprehensive.When I got the Kindle, I had also ordered a cover so holding it was like holding a book.I started reading, got in to the book and really, the page turns are no big deal. I timed it at one point early on and it was less than two seconds and faster than I can turn a page.Eventually, engrossed in the story, I found myself forgetting it was a Kindle and actually reached out, several times, to try to turn the page like it was a DTB.So, for anyone who has not received theirs yet and is wondering, you have nothing to worry about. This thing is amazing and cool. And you will forget it’s not an actual book.By the way, I’m really ticked off that I have to go to work right now instead of laying in bed all day long with my Kindle.
