K1 Battery and Sleep Issues. Can anybody help?

I’ve had my K1 since October 2008 with absolutely no problems. This morning I tried to wake it from sleep mode, and nothing happened. I tried a couple of times, and finally turned it off. When I turned it back on, everything seemed okay. After that, I decided to charge the battery, which was showing about one-quarter down. I plugged in K1, and left it for a little more than two hours. When I checked it, the little charging light (I guess that’s what the orange light means when you plug it in) had gone out. I assumed the battery was fully charged, so I opened and once again, I couldn’t wake it up from sleep mode. Finally, I turned it off and again, and I was able to read with no problem. Then I noticed that the battery had not charged. It was sitting right where it had been before I started charging it. Now, it’s not really that low, so it doesn’t seem to be an issue, but it’s odd, because it’s the first time I’ve had any problems with it. Has anybody had their K1 battery run out? What does it do when the battery is dying? I have a spare battery at home, so I can try to replace it later, but I’m not home right now. Any suggestions?
