A question for those of you who experienced the K2 screen fading issue before purchasing a warranty. I recieved my Kindle on 6/2 and only just tried it in the sun today. I noticed significant fading on the right side of the screen and I’m considering having it replaced.My question involves the Square Trade warranty–I haven’t purchased it yet. Should I wait until I get my replacement and consider the day it arrives my purchase date? If I get a replacement, is that considered a refurb and will I have to instead purchase a warranty for a used device?Or . . . should I just get the warranty now using 6/2 as my purchase date? That option seems ridiculous if I’m returning the device, but I want the warranty for a NEW K2, not a used or refurbished one.Is there another option I’m missing?While I’m considering returning it, I’ve not fully decided to yet. I never EVER read in the sun like that and it all suddenly seems like a huge hassle. In fact, if it weren’t for this forum, I’d never have tried it in the sun!
