After several freezes in a row, customer service said my Kindle 1 was experiencing "indexing problems." They had me do a "hard restart" which wiped out everything on my Kindle. I then had to download my books from my Amazon content manager, which I did via whispernet. This took several hours. Has anyone done this "fix" before and has it worked for an extended period? I would like not to have to keep doing this if there is a problem with my Kindle and the warranty expires.
