For what it’s worth. This has been an idea of mine for a while and I only wish someone like Bezos would take it and run with it. I’m a elementary math teacher and I have wanted for years to have textbooks to be converted to eBooks. The amount of books and total weight these children have been lugging around is ridiculous and in fact it has reinvented the backpack to include rollers just so they can tote their books around.What I would like Jeff to integrate is not only the eBook aspect of textbooks but to also add a writing feature (stiletto if you will) much like the PC Tablet, which would also include a notebook aspect. Then the students would only need to walk around with the "Kindle 3". Homework, books, notes all on one device.The second part would be to design a whiteboard (Smartboard technologies or Dyknow software) that could display and record teacher’s notes that could be transfered to the "Kindle 3" and students would be able to refer to the notes on a more accurate basis and ALL students would have the lecture notes (even the academically challenged and the absent students). Students would now take notes of the teacher’s notes which is a much more efficient mode of learning.The third part would of course for the "Kindle 3" to be able to transfer their work to that same whiteboard. This would allow teachers to display student work and to share it among other students.I have sent emails to Bezos, Jobs and Gates but of course haven’t received anything. If anyone knows of who I might be able to contact to share my idea please let me know.
