Kindle DX "2 months after Kindle 2"
I am not a bit concerned that Kindle DX came out 2 months after I bought my Kindle 2. Like Apple products, I find that my interests are totally aligned with this company (Amazon) and Kindle. It is important that, just like iTunes, one can transfer previous purchases to the the new Kindle, i.e. that purchases on the Kindle do not become obsolete. I am a "baby boomer" (yucky phrase!) and I have been waiting for this product since I was 15 years old…and what a wait! Now I am totally on board with the development of i-readers or e-readers or e-tablets or whatever. I know that Amazon is about to have competition, maybe even from Apple, but certainly from Hearst and other publishers, and they want to get their new products out as fast as they can to their customers, and really, who can blame them. The Kindle 2 is really just as good as the Kindle DX, though the DX has some interesting new features, such as the landscape rotation of the the image, like in the iPhone. I am not too concerned about the lack of touch screen technology and color, both will come soon enough. But when you have been waiting for 30 or 40 years for this, you want to get what you can while you are still here! Add to this, other products..such as the computer, cell phone, CD, flat screen tv, the internet (hell I didn’t know why I was born, until the internet came about) it has been an excruciatingly long wait, and I am more than willing to buy the new products and keep buying them as they upgrade. Would that the "old line" corporations be so innovative!
