I’d like to branch out my reading a bit. On my own I tend to gravitate to reading science fiction and fantasy novels. I’d like to break out of that. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good novel available on the Kindle that is not in the genre of science fiction or fantasy?The books that I tend to like fall into two categories.My favorite book of all time is John Milton’s Paradise Lost. So, I do enjoy books that you have to exert some effort to get through and understand. I think it’s the intellectual equivalent of running a 10K. You feel a since of accomplishment. I also think I like tails of moral conflict and imperfect heros. Plots where the protagonist is in the position of having to choose the least worst option, but ultimately prevails.I also enjoy just pure escapist funny books. John Scalzi’s Agent to the Stars is a book that I recently liked a lot. I enjoyed all of Douglas Adams’ books. Any thoughts…Thanks,John
