Kindle & Secure Mobipocket

I have had the Kindle 1 for 18 months now and love it. I have over 600 books in my digital library, many being Secure Mobipocket purchased prior to the Kindle. As much as I love my Kindle I want to be able to read ALL formats, including the secure ones purchased from other sites, on my Kindle. Does Amazon have any plans to make the Kindle compatible with the Secure Mobipocket, Secure Epub, etc…. formats? I would purchase a new Kindle if so. As it stands right now, if Amazon doesn’t make the Kindle compatible very soon I will be purchasing a new reader – the Cybook, BeBook, or Rex Iliad. All three of those readers are not trying to force people to purchase digital books only from them – you can read all formats, including the secure ones, on them. And before anyone says anything – I am not Amazon bashing or Kindle bashing. I love my Kindle and shop frequently on Amazon and will continue to even if I move to another reader. But I object to someone trying to keep me from purchasing books elsewhere. I think Amazon has made a major mistake and will start feeling the effects soon as people start going to other readers.
