Lost kindle

I am sad to say that my husband also lost his kindle, a much wanted & loved gift I gave him. He left it on a Delta airline flight from Altanta airport to Maryland on march 31, 2009. The airline has not been helpful at all. I have been given 8 different phone numbers in which no one answers or I’ put on hold for long perids of time only to get another number and still get no help. He was also told my an employee of that they found one, but they were not sure which airport it was in. They went as far as to tell him that they think someone got themselves a great item. It a very sad thing to know that one of the top airlines think so little of a customer who uses this airline often for business trips and pay top prices for tickets.

  1. Yes, Hawaiian Airlines is no better, my wife lost her Kindle on a plane, they wont’ even call back.
Since each Kindle has a unique ID, Amazon could merely turn off the Kindle, making it useless to any theif. This would prompt theives to return them for a reward maybe. But, Amazon appears to encourage theives by refusing to do that. So, be prepared to have Amazon refuse to turn off a stolen Kindle even when they know a theif has it. They are apparently willing to accept the theifs money just for the greed. Would never had purchased one knowing this fact.
