I got my DX this afternoon and have been playing with it since. I planned to use the DX at home, and keep my K2 for carrying all over creation with me. I will give myself a couple of days, but so far my inclination is not to keep it.THE GOOD: 1) Pictures are awesome on it, if the publisher formats them properly.2) Those who complain about darkness of text will be thrilled by this–very dark text.3) I love the ability to rotate the screen.4) The browser is a bit faster.5) Web pages look pretty good, too.6) It holds 3500 books.7) Did I mention how good pictures look? :cDBUT…..1) Too big to hold comfortably2A) It’s too top heavy to comfortably use the keyboard without laying the DX down flat –when you try to use it while holding it, it is so heavy that it is difficult to type.2B) They merged the number keys with the QWERTY keys (losing a line of keys). What ding dong thought it would be helpful and an "improvement" to have to press the ALT key every time you wanted to use a number?!?3) You can’t change the font size on PDF’s you load from your computer–so have the font BIG on your document before you drag ‘em onto the DX. Amazon says they do no conversion whatsoever if you mail your PDF’s to them for your DX–they just beam down to your DX "as is"–so why bother?4) I really didn’t think it would bother me at all, but I have to say: I really HATE the fact that the "next page" button is only on one side. I mostly use the left hand button. And yes, I know that you can use the rotation ability to place the "next page" button on the left side. However, when you do this, the button is so high up that you have to slide your hand (not your thumb, your whole hand) up in order to turn the page. May sound nit-pickey, but it is truly a PITA to break off reading to do it. Not only that, but having the keyboard at the top makes it even more top-heavy than when it is right side up!5) when you rotate the DX so that it is horizontal, the "next page" button is either at the bottom or the top–in either case you can’t just flick your thumb and change the page. Again, a PITA. 6) Still no folders…Like I said, I will keep it a few more days and keep trying it out. But so far my impression is that in almost every way my K2 is the more convenient and useful reader.Too bad, too, because the DX *almost* made the grade–a couple of things done differently and it would be a great reader for home reading or business/school use.
