Hey Everyone, I just wanted to bring up a topic that I feel is important. I have noticed that lots of people are giving bad reviews to new books because the Kindle version of the book is priced over $9.99.I was guilty of this myself when the latest Linda Fairstein book was priced significantly over $9.99. Then I saw how my one bad review, which really wasn’t a review, was hurting the overall rating of the book. I was hurting Linda Fairstein who is one of my favorite authors! That was not my intention and I quickly removed my review.I agree with everyone that we cannot put up with these new high prices on Kindle books, but we can’t solve anything by giving bad reviews to overpriced books. We only hurt the author. I think the best thing to do is simply to not buy the book until it hits $9.99. It seems to me that the overpriced books are following a pattern, a three tier pricing, usually. The books initially start out somewhere in the teens, then after a couple weeks they drop to $11.99, and finally, a couple weeks later, drop to $9.99. It’s a pain to wait, but I think that’s our best option for now until the publishers get the message. This is just my opinion, of course!
