I’m thinking of buying a Kindle 2 in order to save weight when I go backpacking in Europe this summer. The "most helpful critical review" at Amazon’s Kindle 2 site makes it appear that if I temporarily stop reading a book at page 400, I may well have to begin again at page 1 when I resume reading and then go page by page back up to page 400, using up patience and battery power. Is this true? The review says that the Table of Contents and Jump-ahead features often don’t work.
