Can anyone tell me how long each picture stays on the screen when the kindle is in sleep mode? My kindle used to change the pictures every so often, but now it isn’t. I am worried about what this may do to my screen. I already have the "slide and release the power switch to wake" burned into my screen (I can see it when I am reading, faintly but it is there). I called kindle support, they had me do a soft reset by holding the power switch to the right for 20 seconds. He said if that didn’t fix the problem to call back, but he didn’t know how long each picture stayed on the screen. He told me if the picture didn’t change after awhile to call back. Well it has been an hour, how long should I wait? Then he mentioned a software upgrade that may have changed this feature so only one picture is displayed. If this is true, then we are all going to have problems!I do still have all the pictures on my kindle, each time I enter sleep it is a different picture I see.
