The Risk to Amazon and the Book Authors by Pricing Kindle Books too High

Posted by Kindle 27 May 2009 No Comments »

Hi. I have had three kindles, and enjoy using the format. For years I would purchase a hardback, read it, then resell it. My net cost was anywhere from $5.00 to $10.00 per book The kindle books, at $9.99, were in that net cost window (not including the cost of the kindle itself), and that was fine with me. I stopped purchasing hardbacks and went to kindle. Well, now that the kindle books are moving upward in price, it looks like I will go back to my other strategy of purchasing the hardbacks and avoid the kindle titles. Is that the behavior amazon want’s to incent?
