After reading the posts on this board I decided to get a warranty from sqauaretrade.com. I am usually very careful with the Kindle, but after I read about the additional accidental insurance, I decided to go for it. Turns out that my Kindle, which was purchased for me in March by my son and given to me later that month is not eligible for the accidental handling insurance. The the Kindle has to be under 30 days old. Now I have to decide whether to get the insurance or not. It does cover broken buttons and burnouts, but doesn’t Amazon give us a year on that? I am very disappointed, but I guess I understand the reasoning. I could be sitting here with a broken Kindle and decided to buy the insurance in order to get a new one. So, for all you folks who don’t know about it – any Kindle over 30 days old can’t be insured for breaks, spills or other accidents. Just to let you know
