Why won’t Baen Books put Kindle ebooks on Amazon?

I love a good Science Fiction book for leisure reading. And it’s very, very frustrating for me that every time I want a particular book on Kindle, and it’s not available– it turns out that the book is published by Baen. Does anyone know why Baen is resisting providing their books in Kindle format on Amazon? It’s really bugging me.I realize that I can go to the Baen website and buy an ebook directly from them. But I would prefer to get the book from Amazon. For one thing, it’s a lot more convenient to have one-stop shopping, and searching the Baen site is a pain compared to the ease of using Amazon. For another, I’d much rather deal with Amazon since I know I’ll have anything I buy backed up on their secure server and available to re-download for free should I buy a new Kindle (I’m thinking of getting the DX).I’ve used the "I’d like to read this book on Kindle" link that Amazon provides at least a couple times a week on the Baen books I’m interested in. And it hasn’t done any good at all that I can tell. After several months of checking, there’s still nothing available. Is anyone else out there wishing to have new and backlisted titles from Baen made available in Kindle format on Amazon? Is there anything we can do?
