KindleWizard is a new little company which provides Kindle conversion services for both independent authors and publishers.
When I saw my first Kindle (a first-generation model), I fell in love, and so as a longtime book designer I decided to launch a business to cater to Kindle publishers and improve the quality of the available books–which, as I’m sure you know, are pretty unpredictable in their readability and layout.
I run a small graphic design and web design firm that specializes in books and authors, so it was a natural extension of our work and we created Kindle Wizards! We’ve used our web design and programming experience to work out a pretty efficient workflow for converting regular books to Kindle books quickly and cheaply, but with personal attention and top-of-the-line quality that beats the pants off of the automated process Amazon provides. Our packages start at $199 (which is already good enough for most authors) and do great work and love the Kindle.
I think it’s worth at least a mention, not just because of the obvious fact that we’d love some word of mouth to get the service off the ground, but also because we really do care about the Kindle, want to help raise the quality of Kindle editions, and are good at making even the least well-known books look completely professional.
