Kindle in South San Jose, Calif.

I live in South San Jose, Calif. (San Jose is the third largest city in California), and seem to always have my Kindle with me, always eating my lunch in a nearby MacDonald’s restaurant. After I eat, I finish out the hour I allocate to lunch every day by reading from my Kindle. I do get inquiries from others about the Kindle, and always take time to show it to such people, and to tell them how much I enjoy having it, and reading from among the more than 700 books I have stored on the memory card in my original Kindle I got shortly after it was first announced. And once in a while, I see others also reading from their Kindles, and always drop by their table to say hello, and to congratulate them on using a Kindle. I haven’t yet seen the newer larger DX model, but hope to some day since I am naturally curious about it. But the current size of my original Kindle is just fine with me, and matches a paperback book perfectly. The only improvements I would like to see are a touch screen, and hopefully optionally in color with backlighting if I want to use the extra battery power it would require. Charles Wilkes
